living intentionally
from the heart, and into the home
about the site
At Heart, at Home is an extension of my belief that there is immense beauty in life, often found in the everyday. The work shared here reflects the things I hold most dear: thoughtful homemaking, nourishing food, meaningful gatherings, and a slow, intentional approach to living rooted in care, presence, and connection.
At the center of this platform is my philosophy of the home. Home, to me, is not only a physical place, but a foundation — one that shapes us from the very beginning and continues to influence us throughout our lives. The state of our home, the people within it, and the habits and behaviours we engage in there have a profound impact on how we move through the world. Even when we spend much of our time elsewhere, home remains our base — a place that prepares and restores us, physically, mentally, and emotionally, for whatever we pursue beyond it.
In a culture that often pulls us outward — toward image, material pursuits, and constant movement — I believe there is something deeply grounding about returning to the home as a place of care and intention. This space exists to explore that return: creating environments that support well-being, cultivating rhythms that foster connection, and tending to the small, daily practices that shape a life over time.
Food and gathering are central themes here. Cooking is approached as both nourishment and offering — a way of caring for those we love and marking the seasons as they change. Sharing meals together is treated as a meaningful and often sacred space for conversation, connection, and presence. Hosting, in this context, is not about performance or perfection, but about generosity, warmth, and creating room for others to feel at home.
This work is also deeply shaped by place. Living on the Canadian prairies has taught me to appreciate quiet beauty, grounded community, and the necessity of seasonal living — especially through long winters and slower rhythms. Alongside my love for the home in a psychological and physiological sense, this space also reflects my passion for design: creating spaces that are both functional and beautiful, elevating everyday life through timeless, intentional choices.
Collectively, At Heart, at Home is not about having everything figured out. It is an evolving reflection of the things I love and value, all stemming from the belief that a life well lived begins at home — physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
